Misty Fowler has been working with animals since age 15. She began working in a boarding kennel, but after a few years found that her true passion was grooming; she loves making dogs look beautiful. She went on to work at a busy grooming salon in Kansas and later she took a position at a large chain store as the salon manager in Michigan. Melissa Verplank discovered Misty and asked Misty to join The Paragon Team in 2000. Misty worked as Lead Instructor at The Paragon School of Pet Grooming in Jenison before transferring to Whiskers Pet Resort as the Lead Stylist which is also owned by Melissa Verplank. Currently Misty splits her time between Whiskers and acting as a Senior Trainer in the New Paragon Pet Styling System as a consultant and trainer.

Misty is a seasoned competitor with years of experience in the ring under her belt. She is a three-time member of GroomTeam USA, being ranked among the top pet stylists in the United States based on wins and placements at national grooming competitions around the country. Misty specialty is hand scissoring and sporting dogs. Misty is a Certified Master Groomer with The International Professional Groomers Association which is a voluntary testing organization for professional pet groomers. Currently Misty is also a certifier for this organization.

Misty lives with her husband Rick and their 3 dogs, Morgan a red Doberman, Bacardi a white standard poodle, and Sambuca a black show standard poodle plus their cat Whiz.
