NDGAA Workshop and Certification Event
The National Dog Groomers Association of American (NDGAA) will be presenting an accredited workshop and certification testing session at the Paragon School of Pet Grooming.
Are you ready to take the next step in your grooming career?
Certification refers to professional recognition of mastery in the art and science of professional pet grooming. Testing allows you to demonstrate your excellence through a series of practical and written exams on one breed for each of the following Groups:
1. Non-Sporting (Toy, Miniature, or Standard Poodle, or Bichon Frise)
2. Sporting (American or English Cocker, Springer Spaniel)
3. Short Legged Terrier (West Highland Terrier, Scottish Terrier, Sealyham Terrier or Cairn Terrier)
4. Long Legged Terrier (Miniature Schnauzer, Wire Fox Terrier, Bedlington Terrier, Soft Coated Wheaten or Kerry Blue Terrier)
Written exams are administered with each phase of practical skills testing (Non-Sporting, Sporting, and Terrier) and consist of 100 question, each. A final National Certified Master Groomer Exam consists of 400 questions covering all groups not previously taken including Working, Toy, Herding and Hound groups, anatomy, breed standards, breed identification, glossary of canine terms, general health, pesticides, and cat questions. Applicants will be allotted two hours to complete the written master examination.
The process is very thorough, but don’t be intimidated – you will not need to complete every step in the same day. Click the button below for more information.
