Meet Paragon Certified Groom Tech Haley Littles! Based in Hendersonville, Tennessee, Haley has always had a love for animals and a creative side. She began her grooming career at Pet Supplies Plus in Gallatin, Tennessee, location, where she discovered the perfect combination of her love for animals and her passion for art.
Through Paragon’s Groom Tech Certification, Haley has developed her technical skills while learning how small details, proper preparation, and thoughtful handling can make a big difference in the grooming process. She is excited to continue growing her skills and work toward becoming a full-fledged professional groomer.

Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I have wanted to groom dogs for quite some time, but it really spoke to me after my store opened our salon. I ran a Pet Supplies Plus in Hendersonville, TN for 10 years. It unfortunately closed in May of 2026. I saw that as my opportunity to start a career in grooming at the Gallatin, TN location.
I have always loved animals. From bringing home turtles and other wildlife when I was a kid to now, animals have always been a constant in my life, as well as art. Grooming has the great combination of expressing my artistic side while still working with animals. I have never been happier and cannot wait until I am a full-fledged groomer!
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
I was never great at book work, but everything has been of interest to me with these courses. From how to maintain equipment to how to properly blow dry and bathe, I loved it all. I think my favorite part was how much you can do in the drying process to ease your workload when they move to their haircut. I have enjoyed using the techniques to demat without putting the dogs through any type of pain, and it is also extremely satisfying!

What are your future goals?
Definitely to become a groomer! I would love to get into creative grooming with hair color or unique, artistic cuts!
Any advice for aspiring groomers?
You have to have patience. Not every dog is going to be comfortable with the process. It is up to you to, as Paragon says, be calm, cool, and collected. Another thing would be to pay attention to the small details! Even the smallest stray hair. Always double, triple, and quadruple check your pup before you send them home.
