This Rising Star's Talent For Animal Care Fortifies Grooming Excellence
Meet Rising Star and Pet Groomer Grad Dana Balzer of Vermilion, Ohio! Dana already has a good rapport with pets through her work at the Amherst Animal Hospital, and we’re so happy she’s bringing those talents into grooming. She’s using her skills there as a springboard, and her progress through the Level 2 has been exciting to see!
Her mentor Brandy Mayes also notes this: “Dana has displayed such a natural talent for grooming! Dana takes in all the information provided by Paragon and fully utilizes that knowledge to create some beautiful grooms. Dana is always open to advice, often asking for critiques and ways to make their grooms even better. Such a pleasure to have this student on my roster!”
Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I choose to work with animals because they don’t judge you. They don’t care about how you are dressed, if your hair and make-up is perfect. They just want your attention in that moment and to be safe when with you.
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
I enjoyed learning the proper clipper techniques.
