Meet Rising Star and Groom Tech Grad LeeAnn Kelly of Pet Supplies Plus in Watertown, New York! LeeAnn loves animals and every decision she makes is guided by doing what’s best for them. We’ve been very impressed with her work and know she’ll be an asset to this industry!
When we asked her mentor Suesan Watson, she told us, “LeeAnn set her sights on getting through level one and knocked it out of the park! Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I have had a passion for animals since I was little. I grew up with dogs, horse, cats, you name it and I really wanted to expand my career in animals. Along with grooming, I am also on my way to getting my vet tech certification!
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
Learning the new skills hands down! Plus I am a hands on learner, so this program has been perfect for my learning style.

I post sometimes on my personal social media, but haven’t done anything official.
What are your future goals?
To be a certified groomer and maybe one day work at a vet clinic helping dogs in every possible way.
Any advice for aspiring groomers?
If you’re serious about getting into this business you must be patient and have the ability to know your limits. Sometimes dogs can make you feel overwhelmed and knowing when to step away from a dog for your mental state is so important!
