Meet Rising Star and Groom Tech Grad Andrea Rodgers of Pet Supplies Plus in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio! Andrea takes her studies seriously and we’ve been continually impressed with her progress. We can’t wait to see where this journey takes her!
Her mentor Susean Watson noted that “Andrea was a quiet student but worked extremely hard on learning the skills for Level 1. She did well on the tests in the program and seemed to have a good understanding of the practice submissions. She followed the critiques given and applied them to the next skill. I do not doubt that she would apply herself moving forward to become the groomer she hopes to be. Well done, and congratulations!”
Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I watched my friend grooming and knew it was exactly what I wanted to do. I wanted it to become my career.
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
Getting to meet all the dogs was my favorite part. I also loved feeling supported by my amazing team.

What are your future goals?
To become a professional groomer. I am looking forward to building clientele and being the best groomer I can be.
Any advice for aspiring groomers?
Take any and all advice from experienced groomers who are willing to give you advice. Be open to learning from other people.
