This Rising Star's Passion For Animals Makes Her a Quick Study Who Strives For Excellence
Meet Paragon Rising Star and Groom Tech Grad Ashley Albert of Petsense in Sulphur Springs, Texas! Ashley’s passion for animal care propelled her through the Level 1 Groom Tech Program more quickly than most. Not only did she produce fantastic work along the way, she actively reached out to get feedback to further sharpen her skills.
Ashley’s mentor Suesan Watson said that Ashley completed the Groom Tech program way ahead of schedule and is extremely motivated to do well in the program. Suesan continues, “She always wanted feedback on how to improve, even when she passed the assignment, so she can perfect her skills.”
Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I chose this career because the love I have for animals is out of this world. It brings me peace knowing I can help with the self-esteem of the sweet fur babies.
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
I absolutely love the hands-on experience and my mentor has been extremely supportive – my rock.

What are your future goals?
My future goal is to be the best that I can be at something I absolutely love doing, and that would be perfecting the fur babies that come to see me.
Any advice for aspiring groomers?
Don’t give up, you can do this. Keep your motivation and determination alive. We need these animals just as much as they need us!
