Meet Rising Star and Paragon Certified Professional Groom Tech Ashley Kimble of Petsense in Beebe, Arkansas. Ashley completed Level 2 with determination, resilience, and a strong commitment to personal growth. Her journey into grooming is a powerful reminder that new beginnings can come from unexpected places and that dedication can open doors to entirely new careers.
Ashley shares that after losing her previous career as a truck driver, she took a leap of faith into dog grooming. As a single mom and lifelong dog lover, with five Shih Tzus, a Goldendoodle, and a Poodle at home, learning to groom became both a practical skill and a new professional path.

Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
After being let go from my previous career as a truck driver, I saw an opportunity to learn something new. As a single mom and a dog owner, grooming felt like the right path and a skill that would help me both professionally and personally.
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
I loved seeing the transformations in the dogs I groomed. I also really appreciated the honest feedback from my mentor, it helped me grow with every groom.
Where can we see your work?
I currently work at PetSense in Beebe, Arkansas, and have several photos of dogs I’ve groomed.
Any advice for aspiring groomers?
If you love animals and enjoy seeing how one grooming session can completely change a dog, give it your best. I went into this program having never groomed a dog before. I was nervous, scared, and lacked confidence, but by applying myself fully, I surpassed my own expectations. Study hard, stay committed, and you’ll surprise yourself.
