So happy to be along on this journey with Cheyenne!”
Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I have worked around animals majority of my life. I started out with horses and worked into dogs. Working as a bather the last 10 months, I found myself interested and intrigued by the magic in the groomers. At the end of the days, I would hang back and watch them work on dogs and felt a pull to try my hand in it!
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
I have loved every part of it! Learning both textbook work and hands on work really made me find confidence in myself.
Where can we see your work?
So far I don’t have any place to have others recognize my work, but I’m hoping to soon build a portfolio!
What are your future goals?
To further my knowledge of dog breeds and make beautiful work. Being able to educate owners and creating life changes for dogs makes me really look forward to the future in this career.
Any advice for aspiring groomers?
Pick up the books, pick up the shears and push yourself. It can be a little intimidating making the first cuts, but after some practice and having encouraging people around you make a world of difference!
