Irish Setter Enthusiast Rises to the Challenge
Danielle Knox loves Irish Setters! Determined to bring her grooming passion to all dogs, she is honing her skills at Loyal Companion in Sanford, Maine. She is a quick learner and just mastered Paragon’s Level 1 Groom Tech program!

Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I first started how to learn to groom when I got my first Irish Setter. I really enjoyed grooming him, so when a bathing position opened up, I applied for that so I could learn more about grooming. I enjoy working with the dogs and making it a positive experience for them.
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
I enjoyed the heavy coated dogs the most. I liked seeing the difference that a bath, blowout and brush could do.
Are you currently employed, or still looking?
I am employed with Loyal Companion (IPP).
What are your future goals?
I am currently moving on to Level 2. When I finish that I would like to do Level 3. I want to learn as much as I can about grooming and to be constantly improving.
