Fresh Grooms are "Priceless" for WI Student
Meet Rising Star and Groom Tech Grad Jolene Jenkins from Montello, WI, whose experience in pet lodging helped her discover her passion for grooming.
According to Mentor Jilly Mucciarone, Jolene proved to be very dedicated and showed excellent growth!
Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I had previously been a lodging manager at a pet resort and I really wanted to learn more about dog grooming so I could offer staff training and better service for customers. Also I had always been interested in dog grooming in general!
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
I just enjoy interacting with the dogs in general and even though I had some knowledge of grooming before I really enjoyed learning even more! Also seeing how happy the customers are when you come out with their freshly groomed babies is priceless ❤️
What are your future goals?
My future goals are to excel in my career the pet industry, learn as much as possible and I definitely commit to Level 2 of this Grooming Program!
Any advice for aspiring groomers?
Don’t give up and be open and honest with your mentor. I had a lot of struggles during my program due to personal reasons and changes in my career but Jilly was so helpful, understanding and supportive! She really pushed me to do my best work as well 😊
