Meet Rising Star and Paragon Certified Professional Groom Tech Julia Comito of Pet Supplies Plus in Morton Grove, Illinois! Julia has such great energy and dives straight into any challenge. She’s most in her element when rolling up her sleeves and learning by doing, and that alone tells us she’ll go far! We can’t wait to see what’s next!

Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I have dreamt of being a groomer since I was 17, after my parents got our Doodle, Beau. After seeing all of his wonderful grooms, it sparked my passion for this field. Seeing how much care and transformation went into grooming is what made me realize that this was my passion!
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
I enjoyed being hands-on with the pets and meeting all types of pet personalities! Being able to engage with the pets and gain their trust through each encounter was definitely the icing on top of the cake!

Any advice for aspiring groomers?
If you want it, go and get it! The sky is just what you stand on.
