This Enthusiastic Rising Star is Well On Her Way To A Bright Grooming Career
Meet Rising Star and Groom Tech Grad Katelyn Hall of Petsense in Kinston, North Carolina. We can already tell that Katelyn will be a great groomer, with her mentor Suesan Watson noting, “She hit the ground running and didn’t stop. I love her enthusiasm. She is going to do big things!” Katelyn is currently progressing through the early lessons of the Pet Groomer program and we can’t wait to see her coursework!
Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I’ve always had a passion for helping animals. I worked in veterinary medicine for a year and found my love for grooming at the clinic.
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
The thing I enjoyed the most about my courses was the practical application of the skills I’ve been learning.

What are your future goals?
I’m hoping to continue my education and fine-tune my technical skills working with breed standard grooms.
Any advice for aspiring groomers?
Practice, practice, practice!!! Never underestimate the value of a good mentor.
