New Groomer Finds Her Passion at Wags N Whiskers Wiregrass
Meet Rising Star and Pet Groomer Grad Kristin Whitfield from Wags and Whiskers of the Wiregrass in Dothan, AL. Kristin found her “furever” career after a Hurricane-inspired relocation that helped her reconnect with her love for animals.
According to Mentor Jilly Mucciarone: “Kristin grew exponentially throughout level two and worked hard to master the stylized leg trim. Kudos!”
Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
As a young girl I always knew I wanted to work with animals. Coming from a very small town the possibilities were few and far between in the animal field, so I spent most of my early career in retail. When Hurricane Michael hit we took the chance to move to Alabama. Here I got a job at another boarding/grooming facility and rekindled my passion for working with animals. Due to some circumstances I had to leave that job and that’s when I found Wags. Wags took the chance and sent me to grooming school. I have excelled further then I could have ever imagined!
