This Paragon Rising Star Finds Their Groove and Grows Their Skills in DLP Level 2
Meet Paragon Rising Star and Pet Groomer Grad Nich Phifer of Angel Pets in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina! Nich has discovered one of the most important aspects of becoming a groomer, and that is the value of your grooming community. It’s clear that Nich has found a calling in grooming, with mentor Jilly Mucciarone sharing that he’s shown incredible growth during his Level 2 studies.
Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I wasn’t sure of what I was going to do with my life and I bounced between different jobs. When I started working in my current salon, I fell in love with grooming and the community surrounding it.
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
The different breeds I was able to work on that I wouldn’t have before starting this career.
Where can we see your work?
On the Angel Pets (Murrells Inlet, SC) Facebook page.
What are your future goals?
To be able to continue working with different dogs and possibly work with different showing dogs.
Any advice for aspiring groomers?
Start small and look for different opportunities in salons near you. Find a group of people that you love and use them as support as you go through.
