A Rewarding Lifelong Love of Dogs
Tammy Martinez has loved dogs her whole life. Now, she’s building a new, joyful career at Pet Supplies Plus in Princeton, Texas! She just completed Paragon’s Level 1 Groom Tech program, and we’re proud of her progress.

Even with a failed submission, she absorbs all information and resources given to her and you can see that growth with each groom she showcases!” said Mentor Liz Thompson.

Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
My #1 love of my life has always been dogs (next to my grandchildren) and I have always wanted to work with dogs. I was presented the opportunity after being in a different career for 22 years. Although I was frightened to try something new, I knew that this was what I had always wanted. I absolutely love ALL dogs and I absolutely love being surrounded with them all day!! Making a dog look, feel, & smell better at the end of their groom is so rewarding for me, and getting their love back is even more rewarding. ❤️
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
What I have enjoyed the most during my coursework was learning all the different techniques, secrets, and skills that can be used to groom a dog, and then having the trust from friends and family to let me take their babies into my care so I can practice all my learning skills.
Are you currently employed, or still looking?
I am currently employed with Pet Supplies Plus.
What are your future goals?
To be with Pet Supplies Plus for years to come and make them proud to have me as their Groomer!
