Wisconsin Rising Star Finds a Fulfilling Career Opportunity in Grooming
Meet Rising Star and Groom Tech Grad Arianna Jerome of Green Acres Pet Resort in DeForest, Wisconsin! Arianna took to grooming quickly, especially when it came time to roll up her sleeves and do some hands-on grooming with live dogs. We’ve been continually impressed with the quality of her work and have no doubt that she will be successful in the grooming world!

Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I have tried different careers and never found true happiness in any of them. That is when I thought about my love for animals, especially dogs. So I decided to take a leap into becoming a dog groomer and glad I did!
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
I really liked how in depth the videos were: it really helped me understand the sections I was learning. I also liked the Time To Practice lessons because I felt like I was making more physical progress to becoming a groomer.

What are your future goals?
My future goal is to be able to groom dogs from surrounding shelters.
Any advice for aspiring groomers?
Be patient with both the dog and yourself. Take your time because speed comes with time and practice.
