Paragon Rising Star in Normal, IL Shows She Is Dedicated To Grooming Success
Meet Rising Star and Pet Groomer Grad Cameron “CJ” Couch of Pet Supplies Plus in Normal, Illinois! Cameron loves animals and got into this field specifically to make them happy, healthy, and comfortable. This underlying passion really shows in her grooming, with her Mentor Liz Thompson telling us she has been a wonderful student.
Liz continues, “She is very dedicated to her success. Cameron uses the critiques provided and applies them to her next grooms immediately. It has been an absolute pleasure having her in this program and I know that she will be sent into the grooming field with the skills that she needs to be successful!”
Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I chose dog grooming because I want to work closely with pets. I love bringing them the comfort and relief of a good groom, and I believe that it is one of the most essential parts of having a healthy, happy pet. I am determined to become the best I can be to give as many pets as I can the best care possible!
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
Learning how to properly achieve sanitary trims was very exciting to me! I wholeheartedly believe in humanity over vanity and it always feels best to do the most beneficial thing for the pet!
Where can we see your work?
Currently, I am working at the Pet Supplies Plus location in Normal, Illinois!
What are your future goals?
I would love to volunteer my new skills at rescues and shelters!
Any advice for aspiring groomers?
Remember that you are your own worst critic! Grooming takes a huge mix of talent and creativity alike, which means it can be hard to find what suits you the best! With experience comes growth and with growth comes confidence!
