Amherst Star Shines with Lifelong Passion
Rising Star Courtney Cavarello has loved animals since age five. Following her dreams, Courtney grooms at Pet Supplies Plus in Williamsville, NY. She just completed Paragon’s Level 2 – Pet Groomer course, and we can’t wait to see what she does next.

She stayed a MONTH ahead of her completion date while maintaining exceptional grades on her practical submissions. Courtney is a very sweet and polite, and really takes her areas of improvement seriously. It was an absolute pleasure to watch her grow throughout the program.”

Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I chose dog grooming as a career because I love working with animals! Ever since I was 5 years old, I knew I wanted to work with pets. When the opportunity to become a dog groomer came up, I took it! There is nothing I love more than making dogs feel and look better than they did when they walked in the door. I truly cannot wait to see where this career takes me!
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
The thing I enjoy most about this career is that I can always continue to learn more and more. The more shows I attend and videos I watch, the better my skills will get! Every dog is so different to work on, and I truly enjoy learning each breed and which styles look good on them!

I work for Pet Supplies Plus in Williamsville, NY.
What are your future goals?
I hope to continue furthering my career!
