This Rising Star's Focused Learning Kickstarts a Bright Grooming Career
Meet Rising Star and Groom Tech Grad Tylor Cox of Petsense in Henderson, Texas! Tylor is a dedicated learner and we’ve been continually impressed not only with his efficiency but the quality of his work too! We’re sure his talent will lead him to a very successful grooming career.
His mentor Jen McCarthy elaborates further, telling us, “Tylor was so eager to learn and showed so much natural talent for grooming already! He finished his program almost 2 months early, with great grades on both his coursework and photo submission tests. Tylor has the drive and determination to make a great groomer one day!
Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I chose dog grooming as a career because of my love for animals. I’ve always wanted to further my education with dogs.
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
The part I enjoyed most in the coursework was learning about the anatomy of dogs.

Any advice for aspiring groomers?
My advice to new groomers is to take it slow and learn everything you can about grooming. There are always tips and tricks to achieve the look you want!
