When we asked mentor Jen McCarthy about Alyssa, here’s what she had to say: “Alyssa has been a quiet student as far as needing a lot of support through Level 1. However, she has shown a great work ethic in reading everything she needs to for her tests and submissions, working hard to get everything done correctly, and to the best of her ability, and getting great grades on everything. Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I’ve been working with dogs for 5 years and have always been interested in learning more about grooming.
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
Working on hand with the dogs and learning more about grooming and the correct way of doing it.

Instagram, once I start doing more haircuts.
What are your future goals?
To become the best groomer I can be, and keep learning new skills every day from the groomers around me.
Any advice for aspiring groomers?
View grooming as a unique trade as well as an art form, and never stop learning!
