This Rising Star Builds on Raw, Natural Talent to Kickstart Bright Grooming Career
Meet Rising Star and Pet Groomer Grad Brittany Allison of Petsense in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Brittany has an incredible natural talent for grooming, and we’re so glad that we were able to help her pursue grooming as a career path.
When we asked her mentor Liz Thompson, she told us, “I am so blown away by Brittany’s skills. She really has raw natural talent and you can see that she has invested her all into this career! Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
I have thought about grooming for a while and even tried to be trained at one point. My trainer retired and left, so I had no one to train me. I gave up on it for a while until my friend talked me into trying again. Paragon’s online program made it possible for me to learn.
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
All of the dogs – I just love animals so much. I have had many different ones my entire life, and it’s always a joy seeing the sweet dogs.

What are your future goals?
To become the best groomer I can possibly be.
Any advice for aspiring groomers?
Never give up, even if things seem difficult. Take the criticism and critiques and learn from them, without dwelling on them.
