Meet Rising Star and Pet Groomer Grad Jamie Kerr of Pet Supplies Plus in Freeport, Illinois! Jamie is already well on his way to becoming one of the grooming greats. In addition to his grooming work, which is both stunning and precise, Jamie has already participated in a dog show! We’ll be watching you grow and cheering you on Jaime!
His mentor Liz Thompson adds, “Holy smokes, Jamie came into the program with a purpose and left me just about speechless with their stylized legs submission. I am so incredibly amazed with Jamie’s elevated level of skill and techniques that they had showcased in the program. Their work is always spot on and you can see that Jamie focused on every single hair on the dogs body. I cannot wait to see Jamie accomplish incredible things in the grooming industry!”
Why did you choose dog grooming as a career?
It is very rewarding and the various opportunities to advance your education! With new grooms “trending” there is always something new to try!
What did you enjoy most during your coursework?
Learning about the different coats and breed types!

What are your future goals?
I want to learn more hand scissoring so I can start grooms on breeds like Bedlington Terriers so who knows? Maybe Level 3!
Any advice for aspiring groomers?
Get creative and challenge yourself. You will be amazed with what you can come up with!
